Mr. NK Singh speaks on the criticism of proposals and rejects politicization of the panel. He states that every Finance Commission has raised the devolution to states, But the 14th Finance Commission saw a quantum change in that devolution (to states) from 32% to 42%. ‘Central Government spends Rs 3.5 lakh crores per annum on Centrally sponsored schemes’, he added.
‘In the fiscal consolidation roadmap, we've proposed that states could enhance their borrowing capacity by 4%’, explains NK Singh. Watch the video to know more!
